NEW YORK–GigaSpaces, a provider of in-memory computing (IMC) technologies, today announced enhancements to its industry leading IMC platform, XAP. With the new version, XAP 11, users are now able to integrate and utilize location data from a wide range of sources at in-memory speeds. With these advancements, organizations can implement data analysis and get actionable insights based on a variety of geographical data from countless devices.

“XAP 11 empowers developers and data analysts to query and integrate geospatial data in real-time.”

“In the age of always-connected and mobile-empowered consumers, we are building a new class of high-performance geospatial analytics to provide retail, financial services, insurance and telecommunication customers with a competitive edge in location-based services,” said Ali Hodroj, VP of Products and Strategy in the IMC Business Unit at GigaSpaces. “XAP 11 empowers developers and data analysts to query and integrate geospatial data in real-time.”

In addition to geolocation capabilities, XAP 11 includes these and other enhancements:

  • Enhanced Query Capabilities: XAP 11 supports improved data indexing and query semantics, ensuring the ability to execute highly specific queries on your data and receive immediate responses, enabling you to get more out of your data
  • Tiered storage: Improving upon the last version, which introduced native integration with solid state drives, XAP 11 enables companies to utilize both RAM and SSD simultaneously, extending the shelf life of existing infrastructure and increasing flexibility. The new tiered storage also allows fast reload.
