Aerial Surveys Int’l and Global Marketing Insights to Present GEOINT 2026 Workshop on Multi-Domain Geospatial Fusion for Automated Infrastructure Monitoring

April 24, 2026 By GISuser

WATKINS, CO, and CLEVELAND, OH, 23 April 2026 – Aerial Surveys International (ASI) and Global Marketing Insights will present a GEOINT 2026 training workshop on the application of next-generation geospatial fusion frameworks integrating airborne LiDAR, 3D analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to monitor defense and critical infrastructure and to deliver a unified operational picture across land, sea, cyberspace, and orbital domains.

“Multi-Domain Geospatial Fusion for Defense: Integrating LiDAR, 3D Analytics, and AI from Terrain to Orbit” will be held Tuesday, May 5, 7:30-8:30 am, in Willow Lake 5 at GEOINT 2026 at Gaylord of the Rockies in Colorado. Open to all GEOINT attendees, but advanced registration required at https://geoint26.mapyourshow.com/8_0/sessions/session-details.cfm?scheduleid=16.

The session will be led by Dr. Shawana Johnson, GISP, CEO of Global Marketing Insights, and Mark Schubert, CEO of Aerial Surveys International. A basic knowledge of Aerial Remote Sensing, 3D LiDAR, and AI is suggested for this workshop.

“We encourage members of the Defense and Intelligence community to join the workshop to see new commercial capabilities in AI and advanced analytics,” said Dr. Johnson.

“Attendees will gain insights into how fused multi-domain geospatial intelligence from land and sea to cyberspace and outer space can support operational readiness, mission assurance, and strategic resilience in operational threat environments,” said Mark Schubert.

Session Summary: Monitoring of both military and civilian infrastructure, such as ports, coastal zones, transportation corridors, and energy networks is critical to defense missions. This session presents the TrinityGeo™ next-generation geospatial fusion product developed by a combined team of aerial, analytics and AI experts to meet demands of critical infrastructure applications across physical, digital, and orbital domains.

The TrinityGeo product combines the capabilities of ASI, Polygon Solutions, and Urban Hawk, unifying high-resolution LiDAR, 3D geospatial analytics, and AI-powered change intelligence into a single operational picture.

The airborne data captured by ASI provides precise LiDAR-derived 3D elevation and structural data in asset-filled environments. Next-generation 3D modeling, meshing, and simulation developed by Polygon Solutions then enhance situational foresight and predictive impact assessment. Urban Hawk’s AI-powered temporal reasoning applied to the fused data performs object classification, change detection, and anomaly flagging in real-time to generate actionable geospatial intelligence.

Real-world use cases will be presented to illustrate the operational value of multi-domain geospatial fusion for strengthened situational awareness and decision making. One use case will show how oblique LiDAR data can be fused with other data and analyzed to assess the suitability of a damaged urban environment to support military logistics operations. Other examples will cover monitoring of pipelines, airfields, and energy transmission facilities.

Attendee Learning Outcomes:

After completing this workshop, attendees will be able to:

  • Review and understand the multi-disciplinary geospatial frameworks purpose-built for critical infrastructure and defense applications.
  • Understand 3D spatial backbones focused on the asset filled environments, capturing precise elevation and structural details across strategic zones.
  • Review enhancement processes with 3D modeling, meshing, and advanced geospatial analytics to support infrastructure monitoring and spatial simulations.
  • Understand how an AI-powered Reasoning Model further layers in temporal aerial imagery analysis for automated object classification, change detection, and anomaly flagging.

Body of Knowledge Topics: JADc2 and ISR Backbone, Cross-Domain Truth Validation for Data Integrity, Rapid Damage Assessment, ISR/Logistics Syncing, Predictive Resilience Modeling, Edge Enabled Autonomy.
