Developed by the UK Ordnance Survey, the MapZone offers young visitors homework help (in English and Welsh) as well as a teacher zone and parent zone. Users will find games, tutorials, teacher resources, competitions, trivia, and geography/GIS facts.
More advanced GIS concepts are delivered via a section called “The GIS Files”. In depth information about scanning, digital data capture, and remote sensing are covered in this intermediate-level edu resource.
The gamezone offers an impressive collection of Geo-Jigsaw puzzles and other geo-centric games and puzzles.
