NASA Awards Contract for Software, Maintenance

October 7, 2015 By GISuser

NASA has awarded a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to Esri in Redlands, California, to provide geospatial software licenses and maintenance.

This BPA offers provisions for issuance of firm-fixed calls, with a one-year base ordering period, four one-year option ordering periods, and a potential contract value of $9.5 million. The period of performance begins Oct. 1 and, if all options are exercised, the last ordering period will end Sept. 30, 2020.

The contract will be administered by the Enterprise License Management Team at the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) at Stennis Space Center in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. The NSSC performs select business activities for all NASA centers.

“Esri’s Enterprise License Agreement with NASA will deliver new tools and techniques that support its vital mission of advancing technology and science,” said Esri president Jack Dangermond. “We are proud to provide Esri’s ArcGIS platform to all NASA Centers and Directorates in support of their work on earth observation, scientific discovery and analysis, and data dissemination for critical problem solving.”
