Intergraph 2014 Drivers of Success Winners Honored at HxGN LIVE

CADWorx®, CAESAR II® and PV Elite® users Richard Design Services, L&T-Chiyoda and Engineers India Ltd recognized at global user conference

LAS VEGAS, Nev., June 5, 2014 – Intergraph® Process, Power & Marine this week recognized the winners of the CADWorx & Analysis University 2014 (CAU2014) Drivers of Success competition for users of CADWorx®, CAESAR II® and PV Elite®. This year’s winners were honored at CAU2014 being held at HxGN LIVE in Las Vegas, Nev. the annual user conference for Intergraph and other Hexagon divisions.

The Drivers of Success competition recognizes innovative applications of the products, impressive project results and significant benefits from collaboration among disciplines and the integration of the products. The annual competition is open to users of Intergraph CADWorx, CAESAR II and PV Elite who submit stories throughout the year and share their successes using these software products. The winning entry for each product received a complimentary conference fee, hotel accommodations and round-trip travel to CAU2014@HxGN LIVE from their respective city.

We commend them for their impressive work created with Intergraph tools and the success it has provided their customers.”

The following organizations are winners of the Intergraph 2014 Drivers of Success Award:

•       CADWorx – Richard Design Services (RDS) for engineering  the largest renewable diesel facility in the United States in Norco, La. RDS completed what would have taken 300,000 project hours in only 200,000 project hours using CADWorx. RDS is a full-service engineering and procurement company combining a history of execution excellence with an extensive range of services in the petrochemical and petroleum refining industries.

•       CAESAR II – L&T-Chiyoda Limited (LTC) for a turnkey fluid catalytic cracking unit for Indian Oil Corporation Limited at its Mathura Refinery. Using Caesar II, LTC saved approximately 4 percent of the total project cost, equivalent to $US1 million, and ensured that the project would be completed within the tight schedule. LTC is an engineering consultancy organization formed by Larsen & Toubro Limited, India’s premier engineering, manufacturing and construction company and Chiyoda Corporation of Japan, a world-renowned engineering company with five decades of experience in hydrocarbon and related fields.

•       PV Elite – Engineers India Ltd (EIL) for the Sulfur Recovery Unit for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited at Kochi, India. Using PV Elite, the company managed to stay well within schedule despite frequent design changes and experienced material savings of at least 15 percent. EIL is one of the leading design and engineering organizations in South Asia. Established in 1965, EIL provides engineering consultancy and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services principally focused on the oil and gas and petrochemical industries.

The 2014 runners up are FLSmidth USA; Sino Pharmengin Corporation, China; and Matomo Projects, South Africa for CADWorx; and Siemens, India; and Austral Diseños Industriales, Argentina, for CAESAR II.
