Blue Marble Wraps up Successful User Conference Road Show

April 12, 2016 By Editor

Hallowell, Maine – April 12, 2016 – Blue Marble Geographics (bluemarblegeo.com) is pleased to announce the successful completion of its first annual User Conference Road Show.

Blue Marble Takes its Highly Successful User Conference on the Road in March 2016

Throughout the month of March, Blue Marble staff members traveled to four locations in the US and Canada to share the latest company news; to provide insight on future product developments; and to provide tips and tricks on the optimal use of Global Mapper and the Geographic Calculator. Attendees also heard from a variety of industry experts on their use of Blue Marble technology.

Blue Marble’s geospatial data manipulation, visualization, and conversion solutions are used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software, energy, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as government agencies and academic institutions.

The road show events were hosted in Houston, TX, Calgary, AB, Santa Clara, CA, and Boston, MA. In each location, attendees heard from applications specialists as well as from users of Blue Marble software. Presentations included a diverse array of practical applications for Blue Marble technology including imagery processing in Global Mapper from representatives of Pictometry; the development of a vertical adjustment model for modeling local geoids from Bechtel Engineering; and a demonstration of a powerful custom video playback extension for Global Mapper from Aerial Filmworks.

“The User Conference is typically one of the highlights of the year for us,” stated Patrick Cunningham, Blue Marble President. “This year we were delighted to be able to host the conference in several different venues allowing us to share the Blue Marble story with a much larger audience. We appreciate all of the dedicated users who joined us at BMUC and we especially thank those who took the time to offer feedback on their experience with our products, which helps us steer our development plans”

For logistical reasons, the BMUC event in Pittsburgh had to be postponed and has been rescheduled for October 25th, 2016. To register for this event, visit www.bluemarblegeo.com/bmuc/index.php.
