Two new map apps should help residents and visitors alike to find their way around City parks, trails and cemeteries.
Kamloops is home to 180 kilometers of bikeways, pathways and nature park trails, 103 beautiful parks, and five cemeteries. These can now all be explored via two new mobile friendly web apps: Parks and Trails (maps.kamloops.ca/parksandtrails) and Cemetery (maps.kamloops.ca/cemetery).
The maps in the parks and trails app show profiles of the major nature park trails with the degree and severity of grade changes, allowing users to choose route suitable to their skill level. Similarly, the app shows steep grades of pathways and bikeways around town. The app can display points of interest for some parks, as well as a user’s current location.
Foldout pocket-sized bike maps are also available for free at City Hall, Development and Engineering Services, Tourism Kamloops and the Tournament Capital Centre.
All maps and web apps can be found at www.kamloops.ca/maps.
