Matrox Mura Capture and Display Boards to Drive 36-Screen Curved Video Wall at 2014 NEC Solutions Sh

May 1, 2014 By Editor

MONTREAL — May 1, 2014 — At the 2014 NEC Solutions Showcase (May 14–15, The Velodrome, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London), Matrox® Graphics Inc. will collaborate with leading AV-industry suppliers to present integrateddigital signage, video display wall and AV-over-IP solutions for a variety of applications.

Matrox Mura™ MPX Series video wall controller boards will capture and display content on PSCo’s impressive curved video wall made up of thirty-six 55-inch NEC X554 displays with ultra-thin bezels. They will also drive a 2×2 control room video wall in the Emergency Services Zone. Mura cards feature flexible inputs and high-quality outputs allowing AV integrators, system builders and equipment manufacturers to easily and cost-effectively build high-density video wall controller systems supporting custom video walls of almost any size. Exceptional-quality scaling, switching, and compositing of source content including HDCP feeds are easily managed through intuitive control options including Matrox MuraControl™ software, third-party software and simple integration with existing AV control systems.

Matrox Maevex™ H.264 encoders will be used to deliver AV-over-IP content to landscape and portrait digital signage configurations and to the adjacent Mura-driven control room wall in the Emergency Services Zone. Maevex delivers exceptional quality AV streaming at low bandwidth over standard IP networks for display or for storage anywhere on the LAN. Maevex encoders can be combined with Maevex decoders or third-party software decoders to stream up to Full HD digital signage, education and training materials, camera footage, desktop screen capture and other AV content to one or more displays and to collaborative video walls.

Matrox M-Series multi-display graphics cards will be used to drive six displays attached to an ergonomic desk from DAS Business Furniture. M-Series cards render pristine images across up to eight high-resolution monitors at resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 for an exceptional multi-monitor user experience. For professional environments that require even larger desktop space, M-Series cards support multi-board hybriding, enabling up to 16 displays on a single computer. With up to 2 GB of memory per card and advanced desktop management features such as stretched and independent desktop modes, M-Series drives business, industrial, and government applications with extraordinary performance.
