Location of Cairn Stones and Underground Passage in Diablo 2 Resurrected

July 7, 2023 By GISuser

It is necessary to bring Cairn Stones as part of a lengthy quest that pits you against another unique boss, so make sure you are well-prepared when you go in.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Cairn Stones are easy to find, but activating them necessitates a number of additional steps, including a trip through the dungeon known as the Underground Passage.

It will take you a while to learn the secrets of the portal guarded by the Cairn Stones before you can do anything with them. First, you must defeat another one-of-a-kind boss and learn the secrets of the portal he guards. Fortunately, everything you’ll need is within walking distance of one another.

In order to find the Tree and Scroll of Inifuss, you will need to travel through the Stony Field, Underground Passage, and Dark Wood – this is where you will need to go!

To complete the Search for Cain questline, you must locate six Cairn Stones scattered throughout the Stony Field and activate them in a specific sequence in order to solve the puzzle. A significant amount of effort must be expended in order to reach the Stony Field and actually activate the stones.

In Cold Plains, the road forks, and one of the forks leads to the Stony Field area, which is accessible by car. The other location is the Burial Grounds, which you visited earlier. The final location of the Cairn Stones is entirely dependent on chance. The Stony Field map, like much of Diablo 2, is generated at random, so the locations of the Cairn Stones may vary depending on where you are in the game.

Finding them, on the other hand, is only the beginning. To activate them, you must first travel through the Dark Woods to the Tree of Inifuss, which is located near the entrance.

The Underground Passage that connects Dark Wood and the Stony Field can also be found in the Stony Field, usually very close to the Cairn Stones. You’re on the lookout for an entrance along one of the Stony Field’s perimeter walls. To avoid getting lost, concentrate on filling in the mini-map until you are able to identify what you are looking for.

Make your way through level 1 of the Underground Passage, dealing with the (many) dangers that you encounter along the way. The Dark Wood’s exit can be found at some point on the first level, if you look carefully.

Once you’ve made it to the other side, the Tree’s location will vary from game to game, just like the Cairns themselves. To interact with the Tree of Inifuss, you’ll need to fight or otherwise avoid the Treehead Woodfist, a one-of-a-kind boss that can only be found in one location.

After that is completed, return to Akara. The game will require you to interact with the stones in a specific order, which will vary from game to game. Once you do, a portal will open, leading you to Cain and a slew of new enemies. Deal with them if you want to complete the quest. Before you leave Stony Field, make sure to pick up the Moldy Tome from an altar there in order to begin the Forgotten Tower quest as well.

Finishing both quests is a good idea before attempting the Tools of the Trade quest in Diablo 2 Resurrected, which has a higher difficulty spike. Because resetting stats isn’t the most convenient option, you’ll need the extra benefits that come with leveling up.

Because it is still early in the game, take a look at the D2R build guide to aspire to in this article.
