Interactive 3D Cityscape Simulations

September 6, 2021 By GISuser

FORUM8 Ire is delighted to announce the signing of a strategic partnership with London based 3D City Modelling  specialist AccuCities… https://www.accucities.com/

This partnership will enable FORUM8 Ire to offer its customers highly accurate photo-realistic 3D models of their target urban landscapes to use within our interactive 3D VR simulation & modelling software VR-Design Studio.

These interactive 3D models could then be used in a wide range of applications. For example: Drive Simulation, Emergency Event planning, Infrastructure Development, Stakeholder Consultation, BIM projects, Flood Modelling,  etc…

VR-Design Studio provides stakeholders with the ability to interact with the model and to experience a drive or walk  through the virtual cityscape as if they were actually there.

The above image shows an AccuCities model of 500km² of London imported into VR-Design Studio.

To see what is possible once a 3D City model has been imported into our software, please take a look at these  videos: https://www.forum8.com/resources/?_sft_resource_tag=video&cn-reloaded=1

FORUM8 Ire’s Brendan Hafferty commented, “This new partnership with AccuCities provides FORUM8 Ire’s  customers with a relatively quick and easy way to develop the 3D VR environment of their choice. We are delighted to  be working with such a prestigious company and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”

Once you can reproduce the real-world in photo-realistic 3D on a computer screen, you can do almost anything in this  virtual-world that you can do in the real one.
