Maxar Technologies collected new satellite imagery yesterday (October 28th) of the Blue Ridge and Silverado Wildfires that rapidly spread over the past couple of days in southern California, threatening multiple cities including Yorba Linda, Chino Hills and Irvine, California.
Gallery of images collected by Maxar’s WorldView-3 satellite, including both natural color images as well as shortwave infrared (SWIR) imagery. The areas burned by the fires are revealed clearly in the SWIR imagery (appearing in shades of orange/rust colors) and current fire hot spots glow orange/red.
