Okeanus invests in Geometrics G-882 marine magnetometer and transverse gradiometer (TVG) array
Houma, LA, USA. August 12, 2019 – Okeanus Science & Technology, LLC (Okeanus), an established provider of oceanographic rental equipment and turnkey survey systems has announced today that it has acquired an additional Geometrics G-882 marine magnetometer and associated transverse gradiometer (TVG) array to complement its existing suite of marine scientific rental equipment.
“Our goal has always been to deploy capital in a manner that benefits our customers. This investment and addition to our lease pool continue along that path. Our customers have expressed a need for the G-882 and TVG array to aide in the many survey projects going on around the world, and we have decided to make this available to them in a rental capacity, eliminating the need for them to invest their capital in fixed assets,” said Benton LeBlanc, Managing Director.
Okeanus offers a wide variety of marine scientific rental equipment and can provide turnkey rental solutions to oceanographic projects on a global basis. The marine magnetometer can be leased as a stand-alone unit, or it can be configured into the TVG array with an additional G-882 marine magnetometer. Okeanus also offers an extensive pool of winches, cable, A-Frames, and skid-mounted LARS to aide in the launch and recovery of its underwater equipment such as the G-882 and TVG array.
