Keep the UAV Devices Away – Create and Register Your Own No Fly Zone

October 5, 2015 By GISuser

Create a no fly zone around your property? Yep, that’s pretty much what a non-profit is enabling people to do, however, it has yet to be determined how much weight this “no fly zone” would have or if it could be enforced as a private area.

According to a recent post on CPR.org titled “Seven tips for flying your personal drone in Colorado“, a non-profit called NoFlyZone.org is attempting to address privacy concerns. It allows the public to dub the airspace above their homes as restricted, but depends on the voluntary participation of drone makers.

So go ahead and create your very own UAS No-Fly Zone. simply enter your address, verify your information and register with the org, then they will coordinate with participating drone manufacturers to prevent the gadgets from flying over your property!
