TouchShare Develops a Geospatial Collaboration & Visualization App for the Microsoft Windows Store

July 24, 2014 By Editor

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 14, 2014 – TouchShare (formerly known as TouchTable, Inc.), the leader in next-generation geospatial collaboration solutions, announces the beta release of TouchShare Win 8 during the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference and Esri User Conference.

TouchShare Win 8 incorporates Microsoft’s sleek Windows 8 design language with TouchShare’s patent-pending collaboration technology. The result, a highly interactive app that empowers decision makers, knowledge experts and in-field users to engage in a synchronized discussion – adding insight, contributing data, and altering a shared view in real-time.

"Through Microsoft’s integration, our solutions continue to grow in functionality and resourcefulness to the GIS community”, said Bob Pette, TouchShare CEO. “In the latter half of Q3, we look forward to introducing the first geospatial collaboration app to the Windows store – extending collaboration across an array of Windows devices, small to large format."

The functionality and user experience remains consistent across TouchShare solutions (i.e. TouchShare Server, formerly known as TouchShare Session Manager, and TouchShare Web, formerly known as Mobile Access). Users can enjoy seamless integration with Open Geospatial Consortium data, such as Esri Mapping and Feature Services, Network KML and other open datasets. In addition, synchronized analytical tools such as lenses and layer controls are included to enable collaborative discovery among users.

TouchShare, Inc. is continuously looking for beta testers in several types of production environments. If your company or organization is interested in testing TouchShare solutions before they hit the market, we’d love to hear from you.
