Adapx Announces New Capturx(TM) for Microsoft(R) SharePoint(R) Server Release and New Fortune 500 Customers Automating Paperwork With Digital Pens Capturx for SharePoint and New Case Studies to Be Showcased at 2011 Microsoft SharePoint Conference

ANAHEIM, CA, Oct 03, 2011 — Adapx, the company that is changing the way field teams collect data and collaborate, today announced a new release of Capturx for Microsoft SharePoint Server and new implementations with Carnival Cruise Lines and Microsoft. With the new Capturx release, teams can accelerate data capture and collaboration using Microsoft SharePoint 2010, paper forms, mobile devices, and standard industry digital pens from Anoto. Capturx for SharePoint and new case studies will be showcased at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2011 in Anaheim, California from October 3rd to 6th.

The new release of Capturx for SharePoint focuses on additional mobile device functionality, even more customizable views, and quicker workflows leveraging SharePoint 2010. When mobile workers fill out paper forms with digital pens, they can now check a box on the form that instantly sends the recorded data from digital pens to SharePoint through Bluetooth(R) using a cell phone. Capturx automatically creates image files of the original handwriting and converted text in SharePoint lists for immediate workflows and reporting. Through SharePoint, teams can automatically integrate the data into a range of databases, content management, and back-end systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics(R) CRM. Mobile workers can also get instant data validation from SharePoint on their cell phone to confirm data entries or remind them to complete a skipped field, for example, before they leave a customer or job site.

Holland America Line, (HAL) a subsidiary of Carnival Cruise Lines — the world’s largest cruise and vacation company — is featured in one of the new Capturx for SharePoint case studies highlighted at this year’s SharePoint conference. HAL relies on Capturx and SharePoint to automate forms-based data capture and review for Human Resources hiring paperwork. Recruiting teams around the world can share staffing documents with headquarters in real-time using digital pens and Capturx software, which instantly transmits, formats, and integrates data into SharePoint.

"Capturx Software helps us to streamline the data collection and sharing process, so we can make important decisions sooner and, most importantly continue to honor our tradition of award-winning service," said ShaRonne Hanson, Manager Fleet Crew Medical, Holland America Line, "Now we can get information in real-time, no more waiting to make decisions that we can act on today."

Another new Capturx case study released at the conference features the Microsoft Know Your Numbers Employee Wellness program and its administrator, LiveHealthier, which are using Capturx to streamline preventative health screenings for Microsoft employees. With Capturx, clinicians can instantly provide health coaches with access to health screening data which they can use to provide immediate, personalized feedback to employees.

"Wellness programs, like Know Your Numbers, empower consumers to be more proactive managing their health," said Hector Rodriguez, industry chief technology strategist, U.S. Health Plans, Microsoft U.S. Public Sector Health & Life Sciences. "Data capture and collaboration tools like SharePoint 2010 and Capturx for SharePoint make it easier for partners to effectively exchange information and make better tools available to employees and plan members."
