Cadapult Software Solutions, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of two new training manuals for Autodesk Land Desktop 2004 and Autodesk Map 3D 2005.
These books are ideal for instructor led training, and are already used by many colleges, technical schools and ATCs, but can also stand alone as reference material for users of all skill levels. These books are exercise based, providing step-by-step procedures for many common tasks and they also define terms and explain concepts. Complete datasets for all exercises are included with each book.
Digging Into Autodesk Land Desktop 2004, by Rick Ellis works through a complete project using Autodesk Land Desktop and http://www.cadapult-software.com/prl205
Mr. Ellis developed this customized curricula over the course of several years, while teaching Land Desktop essentials to technicians and engineers in the public and private sectors. Many of his students and clients have been surprised to learn about the powerful GIS functions offered by Autodesk Map, and how useful these tools can be to engineers, surveyors and designers, as well as GIS and mapping professionals. He addressed this need with a second book when Autodesk Map 3D 2005 was released.
Digging Into Autodesk Map 3D 2005, by Rick Ellis, Michael Carris and Russell Martin exposes the reader to many different ways to utilize the vast array of tools in this software. In addition to being a stand-alone product, Map 3D is a component of Autodesk Land Desktop and Autodesk Civil 3D, which means many users have these tools available as part of their current design software package. This book is 432 pages, with 19 chapters which include exercises in:
– Drawing Cleanup
– Attaching Object and External Data
– Annotation and Feature Classes
– COGO
– Inserting and Correlating Raster Images
– Importing and Exporting Other http://www.cadapult-software.com/prm205

Rick called upon two long-time, trusted colleagues to co-author this second book, and the three collaborated on every chapter, contributing decades of combined experience using and teaching Autodesk products, digital mapping and spatial data.
