Now Available: Explorer for ArcGIS on Android #mobiletip

December 15, 2014 By GISuser

some good news from the Esri mobile dev team as Explorer for ArcGIS on Android has been released.

Explorer for ArcGIS on Android

Explorer for ArcGIS on Android

This from the Esri blog…

We believe that beautiful maps deserve a beautiful app, and now you have it with Explorer of ArcGIS on the Android platform. Explorer is a native app that works on both Android smartphones and tablets running Android version 4.0 and up. Explorer for ArcGIS on Android is now available in the Google Play Store.

Android look and feel – Those familiar with Android apps will notice that Explorer has a familiar look and feel. The team worked hard to incorporate Android best practices for design and app behavior. The app drawer slides out from the left to give quick access to maps organized by favorite, recent, and groups. Lists of maps are presented in a visually rich card style ui displaying a thumbnail and links to map details.

Features:

  • Experience a personalized app with your favorite maps, places, and contacts
  • Discover maps
  • View your data
  • Share maps and data as images or links
  • Search your data
  • Give presentations with interactive maps
