Strategic concepts for unmanned aviation in urban environments

September 18, 2019 By GISuser

Stuttgart/Braunschweig/Karlsruhe, 18 September 2019. Strategic concepts for unmanned aviation in urban environments are the focus of the 2nd EUROPEAN DRONE SUMMIT, which will take place on 18 and 19 September in Stuttgart as part of the world’s leading trade fair for geodesy, geoinformation and land management INTERGEO and Europe’s largest drone trade fair INTERAERIAL SOLUTIONS.
The EUROPEAN DRONE SUMMIT is the European platform for the exchange of opinions and expert discussion of the UAS industry, for those interested in the industry and for experts of many years’ standing. Personalities from politics, legislation, research, industry and economy from all over Europe meet here to discuss the acceptance as well as solutions for a safe and effective commercial unmanned aviation in Europe.

The focus is on the new EU rules for unmanned aerial vehicles and their consequences for all UAS missions, for example in the areas of logistics, surveying, inspection and the development of air taxis.

Four interactive Master Classes are dedicated to the challenges of the young industry, new business models and strategies. The focus will be on the protection of critical infrastructures, the safe integration of drones into airspace, the potential of drones for smart cities and urban mobility, as well as the many success stories of UAS applications that bring tangible benefits for users and the general public.

“It is the possibility of direct exchange with proven experts who make the EUROPEAN DRONE SUMMIT the European platform for drones in order to evaluate experiences in the application of UAS and use them for their own industry”, says Michael Wieland from UAV DACH e.V., the leading trade association for commercial unmanned aerial vehicles.

A special highlight is the evening event on 18 September, to which all conference participants are invited. The focus here will be on personal exchange and networking.
