Orbit GT releases Mobile Mapping Publisher v11.1

“The Mobile Mapping Publisher has changed the way professionals use MM content”, says Peter Bonne, CEO of Orbit GT. “This release adds a whole series of great new capabilities, enhancing the user experience, providing fine-grained tools for administers, and adding integration and export capabilities.”

The Orbit Mobile Mapping Publisher shares mobile mapping content produced by any collection system, and integrates it with GIS data, such as basemaps and feature layers. Capable of hosting trillions of images and petabytes of pointcloud data, thousands of users can have instant access to quality data for inspection, measurements, overlay, snapshots, and extractions.

In Version 11.1, the user can add his own WFS layers, and use WMS services as basemaps. All layers can easily be switched on and off for both map and image, as can measurements that can be saved as new layers. The Publisher allows free configuration of a geocoding engine and installs on any server OS, either on premises or hosted.
