MMIST deploys MapLink Pro Mobile to support SkyLink Parachutist Situational Awareness System

June 23, 2015 By GISuser

ENVITIA is pleased to announce that Mist Mobility Integrated Systems Technology Inc. (MMIST), a Canadian full solution provider of Precision Aerial Delivery products and services, has chosen MapLink Pro Mobile to provide the map visualisation capability in SkyLink, the leading Parachutist Navigation and Situational Awareness System.

SkyLink Parachutist Situational Awareness System

SkyLink enhances the Air/Ground operational capabilities of military freefall by augmenting the individual parachutist’s environmental, geographic and team situational awareness. MapLink Pro Mobile enables cost effective and rapid deployment of high performance geospatial visualisation capabilities on mobile devices.

“The decision to use our technology demonstrates MMIST’s commitment to providing the highest performance and operational reliability to its users” said Robin Parrish, Business Development Manager, ENVITIA Inc.

“ENVITIA’s feature rich product suite perfectly matched our requirements. Their decision to invest in the Android space early has secured their position as the front runner in third party mapping in the competitive Android market. MapLink’s complementary Android and Windows product lines provides the turn key functionality required by today’s warfighter” said Alexandre Cote, Vice President, MMIST Inc.

MapLink Pro Mobile supports Android™ and provides a platform for integrating vector and raster map overlays with live data feeds and terrain data, supporting both connected and disconnected operating environments. MapLink Pro Mobile also provides access to spatial operations enabling developers to add geo-fencing and other geo-processing capabilities to disconnected Android™ applications.
