The Best Value Xiaomi Phone You Can Get Right Now

September 7, 2021 By GISuser

Xiaomi started as a brand that makes affordable mid-range smartphones. For a while, this strategy worked but Xiaomi decided to tap into the premium market. Regardless, Xiaomi still makes excellent mid-range devices and there is one particular device worthy of the title of the best value Xiaomi phone.

When it comes to smartphones, it can be very easy to overspend. A lot of people buy flagship devices when in reality, they do not need all that much processing power, RAM, or storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 offers an ideal amount of processing power, a good enough screen, and plenty of features to make it the best value Xiaomi phone. From a practical perspective, it would not make sense to look at models with superior hardware because diminishing returns apply to smartphones as well. What this means is that if you want a smartphone with a 25% better performance score than the Redmi Note 10, you have to pay 50% extra. The price grows exponentially when correlated with the performance and the quality you get.

What Makes the Redmi Note 10 an Ideal Mid-Range Device?

First of all, the smartphone uses the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chip. It is a relatively new chipset from MediaTek that delivers reliable and consistent performance. The pairing of its Octa-core CPU with the Mali-G57 GPU means that the device will perform admirably well in most use cases such as casual mobile gaming, productivity apps, social media, and video streaming.

The cameras on the device are nothing to brag about and it is clear that Xiaomi cut some corners here to slash the price of the device. If you are not a hardcore photography enthusiast, you will be just fine with the camera setup on the Redmi Note 10. Regardless of its modest cameras, it is still the best value Xiaomi phone.

Memory and storage options are plenty and they cause the price of the device to vary a lot depending on which one you get. The cheapest version is the one with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage. The mid-range one with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage represents the sweet spot. The top-ranking model with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is not worth considering since the average user will rarely need that much RAM and storage. If you do need more storage, you can add a microSDXC card.

Lastly, the 5000 mAh battery offers great reliability and screen time. Because it uses a mid-range CPU and display, the power draw is modest. Along with a large capacity battery, the device can last for up to a day and have a full charge and regular usage. Charging is done at 18 watts which is not amazingly fast but it is good enough. The battery combined with the rest of the features of the device makes it the best value Xiaomi phone released in 2021.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 checks a lot of boxes in terms of features and price. It is good enough to be a daily driver and is reasonably priced. It is difficult to find common use cases in which the Redmi Note 10 5G feels sluggish or slow. For the vast majority of people, the Redmi Note 10 5G truly is the best value Xiaomi phone.
