Technology Trends That are Helping Developers in 2021

January 14, 2021 By GISuser

Nothing can restrict the ever-growing advancements in technology. It’s an inevitable part of the industry that keeps growing. History has witnessed such times when a simple trunk call would take more than 15 minutes.

Technology Trends That are Helping Developers in 2021

Not to mention, the hassle of talking to the annoying operators made people forget who they were calling. The most fascinating part is, half of the people reading this might not even know what exactly is a trunk call.

Technology is certainly growing at an amazing pace. There are several advancements in the software industry as it’s slowly becoming the backbone of the world of zero’s and one’s. If you’re interested in knowing about the latest buzz in software development, you’ll surely love this article.

Every industry and organization will transform in the upcoming years. There’s a bigger, better, and more powerful internet coming at you. Technology is bringing green pastures for developers who are willing to adapt new skills, understand it, and apply it.

So, what the future is holding for you in 2021? Let’s find out with the help of these technology trends that are helping developers:

  1. Low-Code Development: A Blessing

It’s a no-brainer that work from home order has turned business endpoints upside down. There’s never been such a constant demand for information technology departments to keep a business running. The raw developers (who code the traditional way) who’ve been practicing their skills for years doubt that low-code platforms won’t be taken seriously.

However, this used to be true because of the expertise and human experience required to develop a great application required at that time. But, this output has changed in today’s time as nowadays, the majority of the development teams work on low-code platforms; all thanks to COVID-19.

Historically, low code development was a concept to build applications visually. It doesn’t even require anyone to code an application line-by-line. Instead, you can just make a sketch out of it like a flowchart. This makes the development of powerful, new, and intuitive applications a lot easier without requiring manual coding.

That’s also the reason for the low-code trend to be on this list. Numerous companies believe that using low-code platforms is a fruitful and better way in the digital revolution.

  1. Internet of Things (IoT)

IoT has already covered a long journey, from refrigerators to vehicles, everything is interconnected with technology and allows gathering and monitoring data in real-time. It can finally be said that the internet of things has already become an integral part of the human routine. Although the process of using IoT for your benefit requires combining it with other amazing technologies such as Big data and AI, it’s still one of the most important developments in the computing industry.

On top of that, the Coronavirus Pandemic has already accelerated the adoption and growth of tech-driven health transformation industries. It indicates that the number of virtual visits will be in billions in the future. The trend will surely move upward in 2021.

When talking about the manufacturing and retail sector, you must know that both industries had to gain industrial assets for remote operations this year. Therefore, this is also going to lead towards much higher IoT expenditures to satisfy the constantly growing consumer demand. Furthermore, the growth of smart city solutions is also releasing numerous IoT projects these days.

As soon as these initiatives start providing a slew of data, the developments in edge computing and 5G will take data mining to a completely new level. All of this indicates that it will still be fragmented even after 50 years of development.

  1. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial Intelligence always appears to be overhyped, but not to the people reading this article. Technology is growing at an unbelievable speed, like it’s going to explode, for the last five-ten years. Machines are now capable of thinking like humans and conduct activities that were bound to humans. AI is reshaping economies with its variety of subsets such as machine learning, deep learning, and neural networks that have grown individually at a great pace.

There’s a keen rise in the trend of mobile app developers making chatbots. These AI-based chatbots have already replaced customer service and human assistance. They also have gradually decreased the involvement of humans in virtually everything. Due to this, the process has also become less prone to errors.

The year 2021 is certainly predicted to bring more AI-focused development skills, programming languages, accurate customer preferences, machine learning chatbots, lesser human resource management, and customer behavior analysis.

The Takeaway

If you came this far, you’ve successfully witnessed the latest technology trends in software development. However, there’s still a lot more to know in this field. So, make sure you keep yourself updated with all the trends.
