Janes Welcomes Ben Conklin as Chief Product Officer

The trusted global agency for open-source defense intelligence today welcomes Ben Conklin to drive global product strategy

WASHINGTON DC (20 January) – Janes – the trusted global agency for open-source defense intelligence – today announced the appointment of Ben Conklin as Chief Product Officer. Conklin will spearhead product strategy at Janes as the company continues to interconnect and optimize its assured proprietary data – progressing the transition from its publishing legacy into the leading provider of open-source data, intelligence, and analytics.

“I’m delighted to be joining Janes at such a pivotal time in the transformation of its global interconnected data and intelligence offerings,” said Conklin. “I’m passionate about delivering products and solutions that improve our understanding of the operational environment for defense and intelligence professionals worldwide.”

Conklin brings 25 years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for defense and national security, including 15 years at Esri, finishing as Director, Defense and Intelligence solutions. Prior to that he spent nine years working as a Geospatial Intelligence analyst with the US Marine Corps.
