Free Banking Data for Use with Maptitude 2019 Mapping Software

October 18, 2019 By GISuser

NEWTON, MASSACHUSETTS (USA) – Caliper is excited to announce the release of free banking map layers for the USA. We are providing over 100,000 bank and credit union points-of-interest. These locations can be analyzed with the tools and data already included with Maptitude, such as the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) Census Tract demographics. This provision of free extensive banking data in a mapping format is unprecedented.

Maptitude 2019 Mapping Software

Compliance with government requirements such as the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) is driving the use of Maptitude mapping software by banking institutions to improve fair lending (more…). You can use your own lending data with Maptitude to create Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) maps that verify HMDA compliance and non-discriminatory lending practices.

The ability and desire to map banking data has exploded. Out of the box, Maptitude 2019 with the U.S. Country Package provides detailed geographic data for the entire country that includes bank, credit union, and ATM locations. The free addition of comprehensive banking location databases ensures that Maptitude will continue to be at the forefront of the digital banking revolution. The new bank data layers are:

  • Bank Branches with data by branch
  • Credit Union Branches with data by branch

The data are also available as shapefile, KML, KMZ, or GeoJSON for a fee.

Maptitude allows you to explore branch, customer, and ATM/ABM/cash machine locations, verify compliance, map service territories, perform bank mapping, and conduct bank-focused research. If you have any questions about Maptitude or data availability contact Caliper.
