Use the “Magic Window” of mobile devices to view 3D designs in real-world environments
ST. GEORGE, Utah, April 1, 2015 – Strata, developers of the award-winning Strata Design 3D CX app for creative designers, today announced a partnership with Augment for their next-gen augmented reality app to work seamlessly with Strata’s newly updated Design 3D CX 8 modeling and animation software for Mac OS.
Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that allows 3D models to be integrated with the real-time camera view of a smartphone or tablet – bringing 3D objects into a virtual “magic window.” Augment is the top rated augmented reality app on the App Store and Google Play and is available for iPad, iPhone and Android devices. Augment clients include L’Oreal, Siemens and General Mills – to name just a few.
Strata Design 3D CX 8 for Mac is the latest release of Strata’s flagship 3D modeling and animation application. Strata’s developers worked closely with Augment engineers for tight integration, allowing users to publish their 3D content to Augment’s cloud platform with just a few clicks and then display their designs with augmented reality using the Augment app. Once synchronized on the app, the 3D models are all available offline for further visualisation.
