Maponics Announces Communities™- The Next Logical Extension Of Neighborhood Boundaries

January 28, 2015 By GISuser

New product family offers highly localized and layered geographic views of consumers’ characteristics and interests.

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt., Jan. 28, 2015  — With consumers embracing location through a growing array of mobile devices, Maponics is excited to announce the launch of Communities™, a distinct family of next-generation spatial data products unlike anything seen to date.  Communities anchored by flagship product Neighborhood Boundaries™, is offered along with +Residential™ as well as a series of new datasets rumored to be released in the coming months including +Hospitals™ and +School Grounds™, with additional product announcements expected for later this year.

Since the launch of Neighborhood Boundaries in 2007, Maponics has been focused on building products that meet increasing market needs.  Search and display capabilities in Real Estate among other industries have experienced notable improvements, and the number of mobile applications relying on local analytics has also expanded dramatically.

As Maponics products continue to evolve to meet increasing demand, the company seeks to expand the fabric of social and geographic location analytics.  Recognizing that the fabric of communities extends far beyond neighborhoods, cities, and densely populated areas, Maponics has begun to map relevant social objects that matter to their customers.  In suburban and rural areas things like hospitals, national parks, and military bases each have their own distinct community.

“With Communities, we’re moving beyond just mapping a neighborhood,” said Maponics Product Manager, Steve Zuckerman. “Our targeted focus is to capture and process data around broader, more nuanced, relevant geographies that extend the social locations where people interact.”

Using the new product family as a strategic asset, Maponics customers can quickly integrate a variety of datasets to create valuable, highly localized and layered geographic views of their consumers’ characteristics and interests. Merging this type of information with proprietary customer and location data, businesses can add a depth of intelligence to better understand and analyze patterns of behavior.

Whether considering valuation or risk based on proximity, accessing the desirability of a specific area, or including location as a key component of a marketing strategy,  Communities has an immediate and applicable fit for Real Estate and Search/Local Search markets.  In addition, the product family as a whole has a wide variety of use and applications across many other industries.

“Our products reflect what the market demands and what Maponics continues to deliver – detailed intelligence and insight into the locations that matter most to our customers,” said Maponics CEO Dan Adams. “The introduction of the Communities product family unlocks new and exciting opportunities for customers to go beyond traditional boundaries to see and understand the world and the people they serve more precisely.”

As far as Maponics’ future product directions, Communities will be the driving force behind product development in 2015. While the company will continue to grow and maintain three other product families (School, Postal, and Administrative Boundaries), the major releases and updates scheduled for this year revolve around the continued growth and expansion of the Communities product family.

All Communities products offer full compatibility with one another and are easy to integrate with other Maponics products. To learn more about Maponics, visit maponics.com, email info@maponics.com or call .
