Geosparc announces new support packs for open source geospatial software

September 19, 2013 By Editor

Software supported includes PostGIS, Geoserver, Geomajas, OpenStreetMap and more.

Nottingham, UK and Ghent, Belgium – September 19, 2013 – Geosparc, the company providing business and governments with the best products and services to build web and cloud based geospatial applications, today announces at the Foss4G Conference its Open Source Geospatial Support Packs. The new support packs are aimed at developers working for business and organizations and implementing open source geospatial solutions. As from today developers can buy, either from the Geosparc website or via Geosparc Partners, support packs for following open source geospatial software: PostGIS, Geoserver, OpenStreetMap, Geomajas, deegree, Hibernate, GeoWebCache, PostgreSQL and QuantumGIS (QGIS).

The Open Source Geospatial Developer Support Packs come in 3 flavours: 10, 20 and 40 referring to the number of hours of professional support that can be purchased. Once a support pack is activated, all support requests are logged into a web-based issue tracking system to which open source geospatial experts from Geosparc respond within one business day.
Dirk Frigne, CEO at Geosparc: “During the many geospatial projects we are working on with our core software Geomajas we feel the need from our customers and partners for professional support for open source geospatial software – that are complementary to Geomajas. The advantage we have is that we have this expertise in house. So it made sense for us to open up our know-how to others. With our new support packs developers can count on us to help them solve an issue quickly and professionally while developing or implementing a geospatial solution.”
