Thousands of people from around the World recently spent several days at the largest gathering of Esri users in the World – the 2013 International Esri User Conference. Most people snapped photos, made contacts, and saw some great stuff during their visit to San Diego. So now what? Well, if you happen to be a GeoGeek, Esri user, and fan of all things "Geography" and geographic, like Joseph Kerski, Education Manager with Esri, you make yourself a story map.
Joseph recently shared with me a fine example of a simple Story Map that he built using several photos captured as he walked from San Diego Airport (SAN) to the San Diego Convention Center (SDCC). Kerski provided the following about the map… "It’s not the most exciting map but the main point is that I created it on a slow internet connection at the SAN airport gate – so it shows that these story maps are easy to create and get out there! And I have resisted temptation to update it since then because I want people to see what 20 minutes of work can produce!"
Indeed, a simple, fun, and useful example of how you can use the Esri Story Map to tell your story.
