Hart Energy Launches Its Energy Data Via ArcGIS Online

May 2, 2013 By Editor

HOUSTON, May 2, May 02, 2013 — Hart Energy’s Mapping and Data Services unit (formerly known as Rextag Strategies) today announced its launch of their Energy Data Service via Esri’s ArcGIS Online mapping and analysis platform. As the first energy GIS data provider to use this mapping and analysis platform, Hart Energy strengthens its lead in this sector.

"We are very pleased to add a new and powerful avenue for distributing energy GIS data to our clients that provides the same level of accuracy and completeness, reduces the impact on data maintenance, and puts our information into potentially thousands of mobile applications in the field," said Rey Tagle, vice president of Hart Energy (and founder of Rextag Strategies). "We selected ArcGIS Online for its power, ease of use, and current popularity within our customer base as well as many new client groups."

Hart Energy has the largest and most comprehensive energy GIS dataset in for North America. Through Esri’s ArcGIS Online mapping and analysis platform, customers can now easily leverage cloud resources in a low-risk and affordable manner, empowering them to access high-quality data on demand from anywhere. It requires no software, and it is also available via mobile platforms such as iPads.

"We are proud of having Hart Energy join our ArcGIS Online community," said Tom Coolidge, pipeline and gas utility industry manager at Esri. "Their extensive energy GIS data content can now be consumed and accessed instantly by a growing number of colleagues in the energy sector."

Hart Energy Mapping and Data Services aggregates, publishes, and distributes GIS mapping data for the energy industry and owns the largest and most comprehensive mapping database of energy infrastructure assets for North America. This data is licensed to clients for use in their own internal research and mapping needs. For more information, visit rextagstrategies.com.
