EnerNOC Open Enables Engineers to Share Open Source Code, Open Standards, and Commentary on Industry Developments

BOSTON, Jan. 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — EnerNOC, Inc. (Nasdaq:ENOC),
a leading provider of energy management applications and services for
the smart grid, today announced the launch of a new microsite, EnerNOC
Open, where engineers can collaborate to advance energy management
innovation. In addition to tracking the latest smart grid developments
and news, EnerNOC Open hosts open source code, provides a forum to
share details on the latest smart grid standards such as OpenADR 2.0,
Zigbee, and XMPP, and enables collaboration among like-minded
individuals and organizations to accelerate the development of energy
management applications.

"We want to create an ecosystem where smart, passionate developers can
change the way the world uses energy. Just like developers flock to
build new apps for iOS or Android, we’re hoping that by driving
standards adoption and sharing source code, we can ignite a new wave of
innovation industry-wide," said Hugh Scandrett, Vice President of
Engineering at EnerNOC. "These efforts complement the recent growth in
our technology partner network where we are collaborating with third
parties to leverage the billions of data points that EnerNOC has
collected to create valuable new products and services for our
customers."

EnerNOC has invested more than $150 million in its technology and
network infrastructure, and currently has over 35 open engineering
positions in the Boston area. Details on these positions are also
available on the EnerNOC Open site. To learn more, please visit
