Esri has announced a social media map effort to share information from the areas affected by the recent earthquake in Christchurch New Zealand. The app shares near real-time updates from Ushahidi which includes important updates on transportation routes, power lines and other important infrastructure as well as updates from Canterbury Regional Council and Power.
