The next Maptitude for Redistricting training course is scheduled for September 21-23 at Caliper headquarters in Newton, MA. Newton is a suburb of Boston, and the training dates are just before the start of the NCSL Redistricting Seminar in neighboring Providence, RI. Space is limited, and the classes fill up quickly. We encourage you to register today to avoid being disappointed.
This three-day intensive course covers all of the redistricting features and most of the key mapping software features that are useful when building plans. These include creating maps from geographic layers; using labels, themes, styles, freehand drawing tools, and autoscale; manipulating attribute data; printing maps and plans; using selection sets; geocoding incumbents; combining race data using formula fields; creating statistics; doing geographic editing; joining political data to the geography; and disaggregating and aggregating data to other geographic layers.
For more information on the mapping software training, visit our website. You can download a registration form from the site. To register, fill it out and fax it to 617-527-5113. You will also find hotel suggestions and travel directions on the site. Please do not make travel plans until you have received confirmation of the training.
