Here’s an awesome resource that a colleague shared with me today on Twitter when I was asking about the situation in Haiti resulting from the devastating earthquake today (thanks to @jsteffenson).
This awesome ESRI Flex Viewer app enables users to quickly pan around the Globe and map a number of variables from various data feeds, including reports from the USGS earthquake monitoring stations. Use the map to see exactly where the tremors occurred and locate the areas likely struck with devastation. See http://asademo.esri.com/flexviewer1_3/
Tip for use: A cool webmap service showing exactly where the quakes struck in Haiti. To use, pan to Haiti, then click the Truck icon (top) to expose RSS feeds, select USGS earthquakes
