Auto-Finder, a new patented automotive safety product, demonstrates proven performance

December 4, 2009 By Editor

Auto-Finder, a new patented automotive safety product, demonstrates proven performance through third-party verification  – The company behind the Auto-Finder, a new wireless direction finding device that points to parked vehicles from up to ½ mile away, announced that a third-party evaluator has verified the performance claims the company has made regarding the Auto-Finder’s ability to locate vehicles in large parking lots and parking structures.

Finder Technologies, located in Poway, California, said that all of their performance claims made in promoting the Auto-Finder, including functional range, speed of providing directional information, and effectiveness in multi-level parking structures and underground parking garages, were verified as true and accurate by the evaluator.

The Auto-Finder is the first of a new category of family safety products featuring Finder Technologies’ patented micro antenna system.  To find your car, simply press and sweep the small hand-held Fynder T and let it guide you in the right direction.  The Auto-Finder helps keep loved ones safe by guiding them to their cars quickly, thereby eliminating time spent searching parking lots and looking like targets to criminals.

"We were requested by Finder Technologies to perform an evaluation of certain functional and performance claims regarding the Auto-Finder vehicle location device," said Mr. Robert Melucci, Executive Vice President at Clarity Design, Inc., of Poway, California.  "We found that the Auto-Finder met each of these claims under the tested scenarios.  Its unique and innovative design provides very impressive performance despite its small size."

Seven performance claims promoted for the Auto-Finder by Finder Technologies were evaluated by Clarity Design. These claims include determining the vehicle direction in large parking lots, effective range from up to ½ mile away, making this determination within seconds, assisting in locating the correct level of a multi-level parking structure, and functioning in underground parking garages.  Making sure that only locating the correct vehicle and not being confused by other Auto-Finders that are in the same area were also verified.

Finder Technologies will have more information about their technology platform available at the 2010 International CES in Las Vegas, Nevada, on January 7 through January 10.  Look for booth number 1026, in the Location Based Services TechZone section, in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
