Blue Marble Geographics is hosting a one-day LiDAR workshop in San Diego on July 12.
This hands-on class will explore all aspects of LiDAR processing from initial data quality assurance to 3D analysis. The program will begin by introducing the structure and characteristics of LiDAR data before following a series of workflows that utilize the point cloud visualization, editing, and analysis capabilities of Global Mapper and the accompanying LiDAR Module.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn about Global Mapper’s new Pixels-to-Points tool, which is used to generate a high-density 3D point cloud, orthoimage, and 3D mesh from overlapping drone images. Click here for a detailed outline of the course content.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a Windows-based laptop computer for the purpose of following along with the workflows. All of the required data files, a printed training manual, and, if necessary, a temporary license for Global Mapper and LiDAR Module will be provided.
