Apollos University Information Technology Department Embraces Artificial Intelligence at Its Core

January 3, 2018 By GISuser

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the new standard in Information Technology (IT) and Apollos University is embracing it in its Information Technology program.

Our nine-credit capstone project will now include a component of learning and application of AI to an industrial-grade IT product and/or service.”

— Nischal Chandra

GREAT FALLS, MT, UNITED STATES, January 3, 2018 – Apollos University announces that students will now be required to apply concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to all capstone projects in the Bachelor of Science in IT degree program.

“AI is the new standard in IT, not separate from it. It is increasingly becoming more prevalent in our lives and the workplace. AI is capable of delivering extraordinary features and improvements, that we have not yet fully comprehended. The reality is that, we need to learn to co-exist with machines. Not preparing our students for such a transformation, is doing them a disservice” states Nischal Chandra, the chairman of the IT department. “Our nine-credit capstone project will now include a component of learning and application of AI to an industrial-grade IT product and/or service”, Chandra continues.

In order to supplement this effort, the IT department has also launched the Center for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR). CAIR will empower students with cutting-edge infrastructure and applications. This adoption towards AI will empower Apollos’ students with distinguished knowledge and skills.
