BCEA is a completely free to use geographical information tool, built to support economic development in our province by providing simplified access to up-to-date government data in subject areas ranging from infrastructure to major projects, conservation, land ownership, and everything in-between.
The BC Economic Atlas is a user friendly, publicly available web-based mapping application. It is a hub for business and investment information and gives you a picture of what’s happening with B.C.’s economy. Having easily accessible and integrated data allows you to access critical information quickly at no cost.
The new HTML5 version of the BC Economic Atlas works on mobile devices and desktop computers
BCEA is a web-based mapping & GIS tool developed by the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training with the support of DataBC. It integrates economic and natural resource data, and displays visual overviews of economic activity in British Columbia to support research, analysis, business and investment opportunity identification, and decision-making. BCEA provides single window, user-friendly access to a multitude of the latest provincial spatial economic, social, infrastructure, and natural resource data sets.
The BC Economic Atlas enables:
- For the first time; integrated access and mapping capabilities of provincial government data such as land use, conservation, major projects, natural resources, and infrastructure;
- Access to other spatial economic data as it becomes available; and
- Simplified access to provincial data, with easy access to the most relevant and up-to-date information.
