Harris Corporation and Esri Partner to Modernize Foundational Data Production

Companies Join Forces to Help Federal Agencies Use Digital Transformation and Location-Based Technology to Drive Smarter, More Efficient Processes and Outcomes

Redlands, California—May 17, 2016—Esri, the world leader in geographic information system (GIS) solutions, and Harris Corporation, a leading technology innovator, are embarking on a broad strategic relationship to develop Modernized Foundation GEOINT Data Production, Apps and tools within a WebGIS environment, for Federal Agencies.

The partnership will significantly advance the state of the art in automated GEOINT production methods leveraging commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) based solutions. This collaborative effort will help programs across multiple security domains to meet the expected surge of commercial imagery from small satellites (Small-Sats), unmanned aerial system (UAS) platforms and open-data sources.
