May 2, 2016 By GISuser

VIENNA, Austria- May 2, 2016 – indoo.rs, a provider of real-time indoor positioning and navigation, today announced that it has been included in the “Cool Vendors in Mobile and Wireless, 2016″[1] report just published by Gartner, Inc.

indoo.rs

The report states that “Mobile technology has the potential to optimize and speed up existing business processes.” While smartphone innovations have generally been the remit of chip and handset manufacturers, the authors of the report state “The (smartphone and tablets) innovation has shifted to the things that you can connect to smartphones and tablets, as well as the services consumed on the devices that increase the overall experience and value.” The entire Mobile and Wireless report is available to Gartner clients.

“To be named as a Gartner Cool Vendor is a great honor for indoo.rs. We have made advancement in radio data mapping with our SLAM technology.” Said Rainer Wolfsberger CEO of indoo.rs. “This is just our first step in automating the set-up and maintenance through using inhouse developed SLAM technologies. The current and future technology coming out of our R&D will continue to remove barriers to installing indoor positioning and navigation solutions”

“Mobile continues to represent a fundamental, dynamic force that heavily influences the other three segments of the Nexus of Forces: social, cloud and big data. Frequently, new opportunities or threats arise from new applications of mobile technology. Trends in the digital workplace, the Internet of Things (IoT) and user centricity are expanding the breadth, complexity and impacts of mobile and endpoint computing at a pace most organizations are struggling to handle.”

indoo.rs real-time indoor positioning and navigation solutions offer hospitals, transport hubs, retail centers etc, an insight to how their locations are used and increase business efficiencies.

The indoo.rs SDK is powering indoor navigation in buildings around the world with many different use cases, all aimed at learning more about their users/customers and making buildings more accessible. The indoo.rs SDK is available on both iOS and Android.
