Avineon Wins IT Staff Augmentation Contracts with Two Virginia Counties

June 2, 2015 By GISuser

McLean, Virginia – June 2, 2015 – Avineon, Inc. (Avineon), a global provider of information technology, geospatial, and engineering support services, has been awarded IT staff augmentation contracts by Prince William County and Fairfax County in northern Virginia. Under both contracts, Avineon provides staff augmentation services including support for web, geographic information system (GIS), Microsoft SharePoint, database reporting, and general business applications as well as development of mobile device applications.

The Fairfax contract includes additional labor categories for complete geospatial, IT, and mobile application development. In addition, this contract is an extendable agreement, allowing any U.S. county or local government office to obtain Avineon services at the same prices negotiated by Fairfax County without engaging in a lengthy bidding and contracting process.

For the Prince William County work, Avineon was contracted directly by the county Department of Information Technology (DoIT). The DoIT is responsible for staffing operational and project tasks for specific business, enterprise, and GIS in support of the county’s Community Development, General Government, Human Services, and Public Safety agencies. This includes oversight of over 100 commercial and internally-developed business applications, including 24X7 eServices applications, database administration, mobile applications support, and utilization of the SharePoint platform for web development, collaboration, and document management.

“Avineon has a 23-year history of completing successful IT and geospatial development, modernization and integration projects for local governments across the country including several in northern Virginia,” said Joel Campbell, Avineon vice president of commercial systems. “Our highly skilled professionals can fill nearly any onsite IT or GIS position for short- and long-term assignments.”

In more than two decades providing in-depth development and support services to federal and local government agencies as well as utilities, Avineon has gained a reputation for its expertise in all commercially available GIS platforms. Every product or service provided by Avineon is backed up by a one-year warranty.
