Intergraph PP&M Hosts Annual United States User Conference

November 11, 2014 By GISuser

HOUSTON, Texas, November 10, 2014 – Intergraph® Process, Power and Marine (PP&M), the leading global provider of engineering software, will hold its annual United States user conference, IUSA 2014, in Houston on Tuesday, November 11.

Built on the theme of “Learn, Grow, Connect,” IUSA 2014 will provide the leading process, power and marine companies in the U.S. with an opportunity to connect with industry leaders, learn about the latest engineering developments and leverage best practices from other companies.

IUSA 2014 features an agenda packed with technology updates and compelling customer presentations. The conference will feature keynote presentations by Maurice Tayeh, vice president and chief information officer of McDermott International, and Ton van der Tol, capital projects information management and information technology manager of Shell. Melanie Eakes, Intergraph PP&M executive vice president of global support and quality assurance, also will offer a keynote presentation that highlights how Intergraph technologies enable organizations of all sizes globally to increase productivity, data quality and operations efficiencies using smart engineering technologies, and how these technologies are adapting to address rapidly changing global engineering environments.

“This is an exciting time in the Gulf Coast area as our customers experience robust growth and increased demand, particularly in the petrochemical industry,” said Don Brundage, Intergraph PP&M executive vice president for the Americas. “We are happy to host IUSA 2014, providing our users from across our product portfolio the opportunity to gather to network, focus on their experiences and share best practices with their peers, PP&M executives and product center specialists.”

More than 300 delegates from engineering companies, owner operators and suppliers are expected to attend the conference in Houston. IUSA 2014 is the final event of the Intergraph PP&M Americas 2014 conference series, with previous events held in Calgary and Mexico City.

The conferences are hosted by Intergraph Process, Power & Marine, which has more than 30 years’ experience in providing local expertise and services to support engineering, procurement and construction companies and owner operators executing projects and operating facilities globally, delivering enhanced safety, quality, interoperability and productivity. More than two-thirds of the plants built worldwide are designed using Intergraph software.
