NORCROSS, GA, August 28, 2014 – Leica Geosystems has hired Bryan Baker as UAS Sales Manager, NAFTA. In his new role, Baker will apply his aviation expertise and extensive geospatial experience to lead the adoption and strategic growth of Leica Geosystems’ UAS solutions throughout North America.
Over the past year, Leica Geosystems’ has become the leading provider of rotary UAS solutions that are safe, autonomous, easy to maneuver and capable of collecting high-resolution imagery for surveying, mapping, inspection and other professional applications. Baker is an instrument-rated pilot with almost 30 years of experience in the geospatial profession, focusing on sales management, software and application development, training, and technical support in land surveying and GIS. He has become increasingly involved with developments in the UAS industry over the last several years, both with regard to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and the application of professional systems.
