RealBird Integrates the Facebook Open Graph Platform with Real Estate Single Property Websites

May 12, 2010 By Editor

RealBird Inc.has integrated its single property listing websites with Facebook. This enables real estate agents to leverage Facebook’s social media environment to drive growth and engagement on their websites. The cost of the full RealBird service remains a low $99/year.

Redwood City, CA  May 12, 2010 — RealBird Inc., a leading provider of Internet marketing tools for real estate agents announced today that its single property listing websites are now fully integrated with Facebook using the recently launched Facebook Open Graph platform. This development will greatly benefit real estate agents by enabling them to leverage Facebook’s social media environment to drive growth and engagement on their websites. The cost of the full RealBird service remains a low $99/year.

The RealBird implementation of the Facebook Open Graph platform enables a real estate agent to create with a single click a Facebook Listing Page for their RealBird single property website and invite friends, sellers and potential buyers to "Like" that property – thus creating a connection between their Facebook accounts and the listing page. Once they do, this establishes a channel to the Facebook Listing Page and all status updates (price changes, open home dates, new photos, neighborhood events, etc) will show up in those people’s News Feeds who liked your property.

The end result is that each property website can gain exponential visibility and traffic through a big potential fan base of the agent’s and his friends’ connected through the Facebook social graph. With that, the agent’s own brand visibility will also get a boost. Best of all, the process to link an agent’s RealBird account and his/her Facebook account requires no more than a few clicks.

Bill Gassett of Metrowest Massachusetts Real Estate ( http://massrealestatenews.com ) commented: "It is amazing how Facebook is changing how things operate on the net. The implications for Real Estate are profound. RealBird is a long-time innovator and leader in implementing new technology to the benefit of real estate and so no surprise that they already have this up and operational!"

The RealBird service also includes:

The RealBird Property Search is available in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. using Google Base as listings source. Searches can be customized for specific parameters and locations and used as widgets on websites, blogs, or standalone.

The Listing Publisher includes tools to enable agents to market their listings and themselves not only using their own websites, but also via major real estate classified sites, blogs, Facebook, Active Rain, Twitter, and many more.

The newest addition to RealBird’s toolset is a Real Estate Toolbar which can be customized by agents with their property search, listings feed, community news feeds and any number of other online information sources, and then delivered to a home buyer to make their search for home easier. The Toolbar includes an innovative cross-websites property inquiry tool that allows a home buyer to send with one click any listing on any website to the agent for more information, thus reducing the likelihood that the home buyer would contact an other agent.
