New National Association of Realtors Tool to Include Maponics School Boundaries

December 7, 2010 By Editor

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt.– Maponics (www.maponics.com), a leading provider of location-based data, announced today that the Realtors Property Resource TM (RPR), a new tool set from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), will include data from the Maponics School Boundaries TM product. RPR is an online real estate library for NAR’S REALTOR® members with valuable datasets such as assessor and recorder data, active and off-market listing data, mortgages, foreclosures and pre-foreclosures, demographics, schools and geographic information.

“It is gratifying that so many real estate professionals will have direct access to our school boundaries dataset through RPR.”

Maponics School Boundaries TM is the first commercial GIS data product to include explicit attendance zone boundaries, the areas around public schools that define the households that attend them. In addition to locally-sourced public school attendance zone (SAZ) boundaries for covered metro areas, the product dataset includes nationwide coverage of school district boundaries as well as private and public school locations and profiles.

RPR will integrate and leverage Maponics school data to provide members with:

    * a comprehensive and current source for private and public school information
    * an easy way to view the relationship between properties and public schools in map displays
    * the ability to view reports and analytics by areas such as individual SAZs and school districts

“It is a real value-add to be offering Maponics School Boundaries as one of the key datasets in RPR,” said Marty Frame, RPR President. “As a tool set aimed at making REALTORS® more informed, more productive and more valuable to their clients, schools and related boundaries are an important part of the complete picture we provide through RPR.”

“As an established data provider to the real estate industry, we appreciate the importance of schools in evaluating properties and especially how SAZs influence decisions and home values,” said Mark Friend, Maponics VP of Sales and Marketing. “It is gratifying that so many real estate professionals will have direct access to our school boundaries dataset through RPR.”
