Ted is the president of Avenza Systems Inc., the producer of the MAPublisher and Geographic Imager geospatial add-ons for Adobe Creative Suite and the PDF Maps app for mobile use of geospatial PDF documents. Ted lives in Toronto, Avenza’s home base. He graduated from the University of Toronto in 1985 with a Professional Engineering degree in industrial engineering. Prior to assuming the presidency and ownership of Avenza in 2000, Ted spent 3 years as Avenza’s Executive Vice-President. Previously Ted spent 7 years as the Director of International Marketing for Apotex Inc., Canada’s largest generic pharmaceutical company. During his time at Avenza Ted has overseen the development and introduction of several new products and seen the company grow several-fold in terms of staff, revenue and market penetration. Ted is also on the Board of Directors of the International Map Trade Association in which he serves in the capacity of Secretary/Treasurer. In addition to his genuine passion for cartography and everything maps, Ted enjoys sports, travel, technology and spending time with his family.
