Take note, an interesting mobile/social location tech event is taking place in San Fran early in May – Social-Loco 2011. This interesting event, now in its second year, features a terrific lineup of speakers and could turn out to be another “Must Hit” social/location event of the year. Running May 5th in San Fran at the Mission Bay Conference Center (UCSF), expect a jam-packed day with some impressive speakers from names that will be familiar to many of you. The day starts bright and early at 8 AM with words from Robert Scobble (RackSpace) and Marc Evans, then the morning leads directly into panel sessions and a keynote from Google’s Marissa Mayer who seems to be on a pretty busy Spring speaking tour – seems that she’s popping up at more events than Lady Gaga lately!
The impressive speaker lineup features execs and reps from the likes of: Google, facebook, Groupon, foodSpotting, SimpleGeo, GoWalla, Qualcomm, PlacePop, Yahoo!, foursquare, and many other familiar names. See details of Social-Loco at http://socialloco.net
Developers, take note that the event also features a start-up competition, giving you a chance to pitch your ap to investors and VCs
