Try the Nokia Maps JS Places API

November 17, 2011 By Editor

Nokia has made sure this API is simple to use for all…

From the Nokia Maps blog…

Attention all bloggers, web designers and JavaScript developers! We have something pretty cool to share with you all. Nokia Maps just launched our JS Places API  (beta), which gives you access to millions of places worldwide through one powerful search engine. Not only do we provide access to data, but also access to a ready-to-use graphical interface that’s highly customizable and flexible enough to use on any website or web app you build. Our JS Places API lets your users discover things by name using the basic search box, get a feel for their surroundings using category search, or find more richly detailed information on a specific place through reviews, images and ratings. But that’s not all, JS Places does more than display basic data—it lets your users share a place with friends through social networks and link to Nokia Maps to get routing information, or even take actions like directly booking a hotel room.
