Applanix introduces new versions of POS LV 210E and 220E for worldwide use

RICHMOND HILL, ON, CANADA, June 14, 2012 – Applanix (www.applanix.com), a leader in products and solutions for mobile mapping and positioning, introduced today two new versions of its POS LV positioning and orientation systems for land mobile mapping: the POS LV 210E and POS LV 220E. Delivering the same functionality and industry-leading performance as the existing POS LV 210 and 220, these new systems use commercial technologies that can be offered globally.

Based on Applanix’ proven, tightly-coupled, integrated inertial technology, the POS LV 210E/220E are turn-key aided inertial navigation systems with:

  • An Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)
  • An integrated Trimble® BD982 GNSS Receiver
  • A wheel-mounted Distance Measurement Instrument (DMI) and
  • Optional GPS Azimuth Measurement System (GAMS)

“The release of POS LV 210E and 220E makes Applanix’ state-of-the-art position and orientation system for land vehicles available globally,” said Kevin Andrews, Product Manager for Land Products at Applanix. “Wherever mobile mappers operate, the new POS LV 210E and 220E can provide the most accurate, reliable and robust position and orientation solution for land survey applications.”

POS LV 210E and 220E are available now through the Applanix sales network. For more information including technical specifications about the system, visit http://www.applanix.com/products/land/pos-lv.html.
