CloudCamp London to be co-located with Cloud Expo Europe on 29 January at Olympia National Hall

Cloud users, providers and innovators come together to share their experiences, challenges and solutions at ‘unconference.’

Theme:

Cloud Camp Unconference: ‘Cloud, why not? – Why isn’t everyone using cloud?’

When:

Tuesday, 29 January, 2013, 5:30p.m. – 9:30pm

Where:

Olympia National Hall, Hammersmith Road, London, W14 8UX

Format:

Brief lightning talks and ‘unpanel‘ session, followed by an open discussion on how companies are using the cloud, why some are not, and to what extent enterprise adoption hurdles are being overcome.

Topics:

– Pat Kerpan @cohesiveft – "BYON" Bring your own network, how companies are seamlessly extending their data center into the cloud to overcome issues of security and control.

– Simon Gallagher @vinf_net – "Build me a PublicEnterprisePrivateManagedHybridCloud, and have it done yesterday" Notes from the field, real-world experience of enterprise adoption of cloud, common issues, misunderstandings, mistakes, meltdowns and muppetry.

– Guy Chapman @vGuyUK – "Cloud Readiness Assessment: You’re not ready" A quick overview of the (possibly slightly controversial view) that a significant proportion of businesses are not cloud ready, and why.

– Richard Walters – @rwalters225 –BYOD GOIT (Get Over it) – BYOD only exists because traditional enterprise application delivery architectures weren’t ready for widespread cloud adoption and the mobile social revolution.

– Giles Sirett @shapeblue A cloudbuilder with a crystal ball. A five minute synopsis of what’s tech hot and what’s tech not), the likely winners and the likely losers of 2013.

– Unpanel Discussion: topic to be selected by participants at the event
