PUNCH TECHNOLOGIES LAUNCHES PUNCH.IN – THE FIRST “CHECK IN” PLATFORM FOR THE WORKPLACE

April 18, 2013 By Editor

Punch.in is a Mobile App that Delivers Real Time Awareness of Who’s Doing What, When and Where Across Any Team or Organization

CHARLOTTE, NC, April 18, 2013 – Punch Technologies launched today Punch.in – the first “check in” platform for the workplace. Punch.in is a mobile application that delivers accurate and timely awareness of who’s doing what, when and where across any team or organization. It is the real-time enterprise collaboration application designed to create a more connected, productive and efficient work environment.

“We created Punch.in to make work life easier through a mobile-centric work collaboration environment,” said Greg Artzt, CEO of Punch Technologies. “The future of business lies in real-time awareness, transparency and mobility. Punch.in meets a very prominent business need and offers a smarter way to work.”

Punch.in is designed for working professionals with smart-phone devices. It allows individuals to log in and share their own workday as well as view the work efforts of others. It is targeted at companies that need better awareness, collaboration, efficiency and flexibility in their workplace. Punch.in is a benefit to any organization but specifically those with virtual project and services teams.

The platform is comprised of a mobile and a web interface for users as well as a web-based administrative and reporting dashboard for organizations. The mobile interface offers a quick and simple way for users to “punch in” to the activities that make up their workday. Users punch in and out of work, projects, meetings and travel, recording the workday and creating awareness for their teams. Punch.in aggregates the day’s activities to the user’s integrated business systems, resulting in a connected and more efficient workforce.

Punch.in includes features that enhance real-time social awareness, mobile collaboration and tracking and recording to help streamline workplace processes.

More details on the features and functionality of Punch.in follow:

· Stream: Keep in touch with what your co-workers are doing;

· Map: See where your connections are currently working;

· Collaboration: Use the PunchBoard to share text, voice, and image notes;

· Messaging: Collaborate using one-on-one Jabs or group Chat;

· Time Capture: Punch into projects, meetings, and other work activities;

· Locations: Set locations for Automatic punch in and punch out.

The platform also features PunchCentral which is the dashboard that allows administrators to customize, connect and analyze their company’s Punch.in experience.

More specifically, PunchCentral offers:

· Customization of Punch.in entities;

· Management of users and devices;

· Scheduling of automated punch reminders;

· Location based punching setup;

· Canned and custom reporting.

“Most social software companies lack the mobile ‘punching’ function proprietary to Punch.in,” said Artzt. “Punch.in is the only platform to apply the ‘check-in’ concept to track the activities of the workday and share with co-workers. As the enterprise continues to become more mobile and virtual, we designed Punch.in to enable a next generation work environment.”
